"We stayed twice."
We spent a little over one month in Japan, and had opportunities to stay in several places including two other machiya townhouses in Kyoto. The Maeniiya house was by far the nicest and the best value. We liked the house and the city so much so, that we canceled a part of our trip and went back to Maeniiya the second time. Two thumbs up!!
