"The Perfect Place to Stay in Kyoto"
Our stay in November and December 2013 was our second time at Maeniiya. It definitely has become our "home away from home" in Kyoto.
The machiya was perfect for us as it has two separate bedrooms which were used when our son and girlfriend came to "visit" in November and our daughter "visited" in December.
The Machiya is located in the centre of Kyoto on a very quiet lane within walking distance to bus, trains, subway, supermarket, restaurants and department stores.
Maeniiya has a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine including a dryer, flat screen TV set with English channels and a DVD player. High-speed Wi-Fi internet access allowed us to maintain contact with friends and family members back home.
Nothing is better than slipping into a futon bed after soaking in a Japanese bath.
Having two bicycles at our disposal is fabulous. We biked almost every day. Kyoto is a safe city to ride in with many designated bike lanes.
We have been to Japan many times but will always stay at Maeniiya when in Kyoto.
