"A wonderful experience"
We stayed here in May 2013 and have just found time to write a review. We've been to Japan every year for the past six years and have included Kyoto in each of our trips. We always try and stay in a different type of accommodation and in a different area of this amazing city. We really enjoyed our stay in this machiya. It has everything that you could possibly wish for and Miho was a most gracious host. The position is perfect as it's a quick walk to shijo dori and then a bus to wherever you wish. We didn't try riding the bicycles but have friends who have cycled in Kyoto without any difficulty. We couldn't recommend this machiya more highly.
