"Absolutely Wonderful House"
This house is nestled on a quiet street lined with old houses. The first floor consists of an entry way, a full kitchen with a full sized refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster oven, and utensils/dishes. There is a room off the kitchen that has a sink and washer/dryer combo. At one end of this room is a small toilet room and at the other is a bath tub and shower. There is a living room off the other side of the kitchen with seating around a table and hole in the floor to sit with legs down. There is a nice sitting room off the living room. On the second floor is a decent sized bedroom with a small balcony. There is also a den that serves as a second bedroom. The tatami mats in the living room and main bedroom are wonderful.
It is about a 30 minute walk from Kyoto Station as well as Kiyomizudera, Nijo Castle, The Imperial Palace, and many other sites. It is less than 5 minutes from the local subway line as well as private railroads. It is located close to the shopping on Karasuma and Shijo streets. A really great location in the centre of the city.
The location is fantastic and the house is wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.
