We had a wonderful time at Maeniiya Machiya Inn, a true Japanese experience perfectly located a few blocks from Shijō-dōri and two subway stations from Kyoto station. The house is spacious and have all the necessary comfort (AC, equipped kitchen, comfortable bedding, washing/drying machine, two bikes, etc.). It is furnished and decorated with great taste. The street is quiet and charming. Akemi and Trevor were always available should we have any question or request. They are great hosts. This is definitely a place we would be thrilled to get back to.
